Scrollmotion Debuts Redesign and the Ingage Software Platform

NEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Scrollmotion, the world's leader in interactive content creation, today unveils refreshed branding to support its renewed focus on innovative interactivity software. The core of the rebrand is the new platform name, Ingage.

Ingage is the software platform developed by Scrollmotion that's used to create and share interactive touchscreen content. It encompasses both Scrollmotion's current offering, formerly called the ScrollMotion Enterprise Platform, and its new product launching next month.

The Ingage platform name is a refection of the value Scrollmotion provides: helping businesses better engage their audiences using interactivity. Interactive + Engagement = Ingage.

"Our existing naming system was too complex," states ScrollMotion President, Alan Braun. "We needed one name that clearly communicates what Scrollmotion does and the problem it solves. Ingage does just that."

"No other company enables the creation of engaging interactive content like we do. 'Ingage' highlights that simple fact," adds Dean Furbush, CEO, Scrollmotion.

Scrollmotion's in house product design & marketing teams created the new look and feel. Senior Director of Product Design, Lisa Lytton, led the effort.Lytton previously led award-winning teams in visual storytelling and product design in her role as Director of Digital Storytelling and Digital Editions at National Geographic.

"Our previous product names and design were corporate in tone, which matched the company's focus on providing robust business solutions for our enterprise clients," said Lytton. "As our product line expands to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes, we wanted our branding to feel friendlier and reflect the playful nature of interactivity."

KEY REDESIGN ELEMENTS

Updated Logo The company's signature pinwheel has been removed to highlight a simplified wordmark that bridges back to its original logo. The new mark has a more modern feel that represents the innovative spirit core to the Scrollmotion brand. The "O"s within the Scrollmotion wordmark are positioned to feel like they're dancing around, symbolizing movement, the trademark of interactive content.

New Icon Image The new Scrollmotion icon uses the new color scheme gradient and "moving O" from the logo to represent a comet. The "S" hidden in its tail invokes a finger moving across a screen. Comets symbolize disruption in order and regularity, which is exactly what the company is doing with business storytelling.

Refreshed Color Palette The existing blue and grey color scheme has been replaced with a bright sky blue and teal, which are a nod to the eye-catching nature of the interactive content Scrollmotion creates. Those colors are a derivative of the former pinwheel icon and are accented by orange, green and grey. All together, the modern color palette was subtly inspired by the ocean views outside the product design office in La Jolla, Calif. The blue and green gradient hints at reflections on the water, while the sunset orange and whale grey draw upon the cool vibe found in Southern California and Scrollmotion offices on both coasts.

New Font Brandon replaces Avenir as the company typeface. Brandon was selected because its rounded edges feel more approachable, friendly, clean and modern.

Redesigned Website The new light and white design creates space so the viewer can absorb information comfortably and effortlessly. It also takes advantage of lightweight, mobile-friendly videos to quickly communicate key messages and showcase interactive elements. The website structure has been stripped down to just the essentials and focuses on real world examples of companies using the platform to improve their business.
