Web Designer / Developer – Dubai Jobs

The web designer/developer is responsible for the design, layout and coding of websites for INDEX Holding and its member companies. He or She is involved with the technical and graphical aspects of the website – how the site works and how it looks. He or she is also involved with the maintenance and update of an existing site.After establishing the target audience for a website and identifying the type of content it will host, the web designer/developer will:write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements

test the website and identify any technical problems

upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines.

The web designer/developer should know:software programming and graphicsWeb Technologies – HTML, CSS, OSCommerce, PHP Asp.Net

Scripting – JavaScript, Jquery

Programming Language – C#, PHP

Tools- MSOffice, Adobe Photoshop CS3 & CS5,Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, PHPMyAdmin, Core-FTP, SQL Management Studio 2005, Visual Studio 2008Databases – MySQL, MS SQL 2005

have creativity and imagination

be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques

have good interpersonal and communication skills

keep up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment
