SummaryThis full time contract Software Programmer position is within our client's OpInfo (TOT) organization. TOT provides data historian tools and analysis/regulatory reporting services to engineering staff and Transmission management. This position will fulfill a combination of software support and data analysis needs within the team. Skills required for this position require a diverse mix of Windows application development, Windows server administration, SQL database modeling, PI development, and PI server administration.

ResponsibilitiesAssist statisticians in using Microsoft Excel VBA macros to expedite production o f ad-hoc reports for regulatory oversight bodies, agency management, and engineering personnel.Utilize OSIsoft Data Link and Process Book clients to query and present a variety of information from agency's Plant Information (PI) system.Design, code, and test complex applications that include batch, data access, data validation, and user interface components. Design and create SQL database objects that support the application.Serve as secondary PI Administrator to troubleshoot PI collective and interface nodes.Perform PI archive fills from alternate data sources due to data loss events.Configure new web applications using Microsoft Server's IIS administration tool.Utilize least-privilege model to set user access for files, folders, and shares.Troubleshoot and maintain Windows servers.Create scripts to automate maintenance, assure security controls remain intact and help coordinate patching activities.Support North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Western Electrici ty Coordinating Council (WECC) compliance through adherence to Standard requirements and documentation measures.Apply NERC CIP cyber-security methods to assigned work.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a directly-related technical field is preferred.10+ years' experience with IT/Network Support and programming with Energy Management System data is required.Minimum 2 years' experience in administering a PI high-availability collective is required.Minimum 2 years' experience administering Windows stand-alone and clustered servers is required.Microsoft MCSE certification preferred.Minimum 2 years' experience using the Visual Studio IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and high proficiency in using the C# programming language is required.Strong MSSQL query and data modeling skills required. Ability to design schemas for new applications and establish relevant relationships between fields in highly normalized data.Demonstra ted solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and techniques is required.Advanced skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel is required.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software including MS Word, Excel, Outlook is required (MS Office 2010 proficiency required).Experience in data mining procedures for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), metering, and outage data is preferred.Experience using and installing OSIsoft PI Process Book and Datalink client applications is preferred.Familiarity and experience with electric utility operational data systems is preferred.Ability to plan, design, document, code, test, implement, and maintain complex applications including console executables, web forms with embedded code, web services, and Windows services.Good communication skills and ability to share knowledge with others.Experience developing applications designed to run on enterprise batch job schedulers.Ability to produce results in a timely and efficient manner.Proven experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments.
